I've been trying to log into my ProtonMail account all afternoon. I keep getting a 501 "No servers are available to handle this request" error message despite issitedownrightnow.com saying PM is up. I'm in USA but have tried other sites, too. All down.
The protonmail servers have been constantly under attack during the past few weeks, primarily DDoS bombardments. I have my own opinions on this issue, based primarily on my background in tech along with the prevailing political climate (everywhere). HOWEVER, this is an excellent and vital service which I will continue to use until I'm convinced to switch to another similar service. I'll be upgrading to a paid tier shortly to show my total support and confidence in them.
I cannot access protonmail.ch. I can access other mail servers I have from my pc and iphone but I cannot access protonmail.ch. Every time I put protonmail.ch into the url it takes a long time and then changes to protonmail.com and i get the message: This site can’t be reached protonmail.com took too long to respond.
Good website, everyone should have the option to maintain privacy, especially in countries where the state can spy on you without later informing about the bad act. While the ping to the site was down Tracert stopped after a few hops, so this site is quite useful.
